County obesity rates are variable within states. Even states with the lowest prevalence of obesity have counties where many low-income children are obese and at risk for chronic disease. Help a child by donating to our scholarship program.

AGE 6-11 TRAINING LEVELS
Every athlete begins our program with a mandatory athletic performance evaluation. We use the information to assess and group the athlete according to their performance level. This will identify your young athlete's strengths and weaknesses, as well as explain the best way to group your athlete in our training program. Your young athlete will be placed in O.Y.M. YT- I or O.Y.M. YT- II.
“O.Y.M.” YT-I: Athletes placed at this level of Youth Training require basic motor skill development and conditioning. This is traditionally the youngest group in our program. Participants in this group range in age from 6-8 years old.
“O.Y.M.” YT-II: Athletes placed at this level of Youth Training need to continue improving their basic motor development. They demonstrate the required technique and coachability for this level. The typical age range for this group is 9-11 years of age.
O.Y.M. Youth Training Programs has several components:
Linear Speed Sessions: These sports performance sessions focus on O.Y.M.’s straight ahead acceleration and top speed running techniques.
Change of Direction Sessions: These sports performance sessions focus on agility and an athletes ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly.
Upper Body Strength Training Sessions: These sports performance sessions focus on strength training exercise techniques and strength training information for the upper body.
Lower Body Speed-Specific Strength Sessions: These sports performance sessions focus on strength training exercise techniques and strength training information for the lower body.
Flexibility Training: Increasing an athlete’s range of motion will allow for a longer, more efficient stride when sprinting, and decrease the chance of injury. This leads to a faster, safer athlete.
O.Y.M. Youth Training is a must for any young athlete who wants to get fit, develop speed, agility, and coordination; the foundational athletic skills that help get a jump start on the competition and build self-confidence.
